The English and French versions of the Code hold equal authority. There are a few points where linguistic differences cause a problem in determining the authoritative meaning of these two versions.
The Code has also been translated into Spanish, German, Russian, Japanese, Chinese – traditional and simplified, Czech, Ukranian, Catalan and Greek (introduction only). These are variously available as PDF through the ICZN or sponsoring society websites, or as hard copy for purchase.
ICZN is supported by the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, National University of Singapore (Company Registration No. 200604346E).
ICZN is an Associate Participant to the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) & a Scientific Member of the International Union of Biological Science (IUBS).
